Indoor Hot Tub Installations

The most significant thing to do prior to purchasing a hot tub is to have a site inspection. A good site inspection by a qualified hot tub representative will help you determine if placing your spa indoors is a good idea.

There are numerous pros and cons to installing a hot tub indoors:

The Cons:

There are many issues that can arise when planning a hot tub installation indoors. A site inspection will cover a lot of of these issues, but it may not resolve them entirely. A critical decision is deciding on the room in which you would like to install the hot tub. It is best to select a room that does not have carpeting and has access to a drain for when you need to empty the hot tub for cleaning or repairs. It is recommended that the room itself have a drain in the floor so--if a leak occurs--your house will not be damaged from the water. The site inspection will cover whether or not the room you have selected has flooring that can fully support the weight of a hot tub.

The Pros:

When enjoying an indoor hot tub, you achieve the privacy not often found with an outdoor hot tub. There is no longer any apprehension about having to walk outside to the tub in cold weather or having the nosy neighbors see you in your bathing suit. An indoor hot tub also creates the ideal setting for an intimate encounter or a romantic after-dinner retreat. Many spa owners that have taken the leap into the tricky process of having a hot tub installed indoors find that it is worth it.

Depending on your tastes, you may find difficult to give up the scenery that an outdoor hot tub provides. We have found that many of our customers have placed their hot tubs in enclosed porches or sun rooms so that they find themselves with all the benefits of an outdoor hot tub, while still retaining the intimacy of an indoor hot tub.
