Safer Hot Tubing

The Higher the Temperature the Shorter the Duration for Safe Hot Tubbing.

Lowering the temperature gives you more time in your spa!

If you are like me, you may wish to cool your spa down for the summer season. ThermoSpa Designer Series tub is so energy efficient and so well insulated and with the aid of the summer sun, this can be a challenge.

With my Concord ThermoSpa, I lower the temperature to 90 degrees during mid May. This allows the water temperature to gradually reduce with the increase of the outside temperature. You can also carefully remove a couple of the insulation panels which will allow the co-generated heat to vent. Just remember to replace them in the fall.

Some folks have been known to just add cold water or ice to reduce the temperature. If you do this, be sure so check your chemicals to allow for the additional liquid added to the spa.

Remember, always use care when entering and exiting your spa. By: Paul Porterfield
